2nd ODI, England tour of Sri Lanka 2018, Eng v SL highlights today – Second one day international from Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium (Sri Lanka) Saturday 13th October 2018. The highest total of the venue is 385/7 scored by Pakistan in 2010. The home team highest total here is 312/4 against Bangladesh scored in 2010. England highest record at this ground is 234/8 scored in 2007. England, too, will likely back the same players who lined up the other day, with several still looking for their first significant action on tour. The first selection of the Dinesh Chandimal era did not do much wrong, given the limited opportunity, so Sri Lanka are likely to stick with the same XI.
England’s batsmen had made a pretty good start on the surface provided for the first game, which is due to be used again. Muddy patches on the outfield were the main impediment to a resumption on Wednesday, but plenty of sunshine in the intervening period has allowed the ground to dry. There is, however, the possibility of rain interrupting proceedings – but this match, along with the fifth ODI, does at least benefit from having a reserve day.
Sri Lanka: LLWWL (last five completed matches, most recent first)
Toss: Sri Lanka , elected to field first.
