Pakistan vs South Africa 1st ODI Highlights – Apr 2, 2021

Babar: There’s a little bit of moisture in the wicket which is why we wanted to bowl first. Our plan is to get a good start. This is a very important series for us. The first game is crucial for us. We want to get the momentum if we want to win the series. We have four fast bowlers and a spinner in the team, one all-rounder and Danish on debut. We will try to restrict them to 270-275.

Bavuma: I feel good. It’s a lovely day. Good day to be on the golf course. It’s the beginning of something. We would like to start off on a good note. We are looking forward to the times ahead and what we can create as a group. No major changes to our team. Aiden comes back in after being out for a while. We’ve got our three pacers and Shamsi. It’s important that we start off well. We want to throw that first punch, start the series on a strong note and take it from there. The first 10 overs will be critical for us in terms of assessing. We know there will be something there for the bowlers. This is a ground where you can score a lot at the end when you have wickets in hand. In terms of a score – minimum 280.
