1st T20I (N), Australia tour of United Arab Emirates 2018, Aus v Pak Cricket highlights today – First twenty/20 from Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi (U.A.E) Wednesday 24th October 2018. Total seventeen T20I matches had been played between Australia and Pakistan. Pakistan got nine victories against Australia in t20 format and Australia won seven, one match was tied. The highest total of the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi venue is 225/7 scored by Ireland against Afghanistan in 2013. Pakistan scored their highest t20i scored here is 142/5 and Australia will play their first ever t20i match today.
Besides Monday’s game, UAE hasn’t hosted a T20I for a year. But pitches in Abu Dhabi usually provide low-scoring games. With the games held at night, dew is expected to be an equal factor for both sides. Australia’s line-up is far less settled, but an easy win over the UAE may give them some confidence and stability. Mitchell Marsh, somewhat surprisingly named vice-captain of the side, may find it difficult to secure a spot in the XI and wasn’t part of the team that beat the UAE. Pakistan have, somewhat unusually, named their XI a day ahead of the game. Shoaib Malik is not available for the first T20I, as he is due to arrive in Dubai and join the squad only on the morning of the match, which allows the trio of allrounders – Imad, Shadab Khan, and Faheem Ashraf – to all start.
Australia won the toss and elected to field.
