Pak v Eng highlights today – Second test day two from Headingley, Leeds (England) Saturday 2nd June 2018. Pakistan batted first and scored 174 runs all out in 48.1 overs. JM Anderson, SCJ Broad and CR Woakes all three of them took three wickets each of them and las wicket was taken by debutant SM Curran. Haris Sohail scored 28 runs and out when it was (20.6 teasing line, Haris goes fishing – nicked to slip! And just like that, Haris departs. He had a torrid start but it looked like he was just finding his groove. Decent line from Woakes induced some uncertainty, regulation low catch to second slip… and that’s his first first-class wicket of 2018 49/3). Asad Shafiq contributed 27 runs off 48 balls, Sarfraz Ahmed (c) † scored 14 runs, Hasan Ali 14 and Mohammad Amir 13.
It was Shadab Khan who smashed all English bowlers all around the park by scoring 56 runs off 52 deliveries. He smashed ten 4s in his beautiful innings. When his wicket dismissed then it was (48.1 full, angled in from round the wicket, Shadab swings it to leg… but picks out the man at deep midwicket! Curran has his maiden Test pole! A fine, fighting knock from Shadab ends with a bit of a hoick, but he’s given the scorecard some respectability 174/10). England played 37 overs and scored 106 runs with two wickets down. AN Cook scored 46, KK Jennings 29, JE Root (c) 29 not out.
