England vs Pakistan 2nd ODI Highlights Today 27-8-2016

Hopes from Sharjeel Khan had been broken after his bad performance in 1st game against England, maybe that was his bad luck or inexperience whatever it was very bad for Pakistan. Only captain of the Pakistani team Azhar Ali played some good cricket in that match with scoring 82 off 110 balls. Pakistan played little slow because England bowlers dismissed all those batsmen when they were settled at pitch what a great performance by all bowlers.

Sarfraz Ahmed scored 55 runs at crucial stage of the innings, Babar Azam scored 44 but all other had not played so good. 261 runs target was not easy against Pakistani bowling attack but as people say (catches wins matches) it is true. From one point of view we can say that because of rain pitch was not giving seem or bounce to Pakistani bowlers that’s why they were unable to perform good enough. But their fielding was too bad also.

There is a bit of grass at present on another typically true Lord’s pitch, which may tempt England to contemplate an extra seamer in place of Moeen Ali, whose bowling has been a bit subdued in recent weeks. But then again, the baking hot weather in London at present will surely persuade them otherwise. Another high-scoring contest seems on the cards.

Yasir Shah was overlooked for the first match in favour of the greater control that Imad Wasim’s left-arm tweakers were able to impose, particular in the Powerplays. But Pakistan surely won’t be making that same mistake again. They need wickets by the bucketload if they want to keep England’s batsmen under wraps, and Yasir has a presence that cannot be under-estimated – especially after his heroics in last month’s Test win.

David Willey could come back into contention after missing the opening contest with a hand injury, with Chris Jordan also raring to go after a successful recent spell for Sussex, but Wood’s impressive comeback makes changes seem unlikely. Ben Stokes will play as a batsman once again as he continues his injury comeback, while Root’s successful spell at the Ageas Bowl means that Liam Dawson is surely superfluous as a third spinning option. Assuming he is fit but unselected, Willey will be released to play in Yorkshire’s Royal London semi-final against Surrey on Sunday, as will his team-mate, Jonny Bairstow.
